Answer:

The king of Baruipur, Raja Birendra Kumar Rajavangshi, was exasperated with his subjects. He had never met a lazier bunch in his life. One day he decided to teach them a lesson. He had a big stone placed in the middle of the main thoroughfare one night. Next day, a merchant passed by it and took a turn around it to get to his destination. He cursed the stone and blamed the government for its lackadaisical attitude towards public convenience. An office came riding in a carriage and did the same. A young boy came riding on a horse and repeated the same routine. Every single resident of Baruipir's main town cursed the stone and blamed the government for not removing it. Then the king himself descended on that thoroughfare as everyone gathered to take in his royal highness. He had the stone removed. Under it was an iron box with a strip of paper attached to it. There was a message embossed in gold: FOR THE MAN WHO MOVES AWAY THIS STONE. Inside it was a purse full of money. The residents were left astonished. The king shook his head and left in disappointment. His subjects could only hang their head in shame.
