Answer:
The homeopathic doctor is narrating the story. He asks the writer and the group if anyone had ever been wrapped up by a cobra snake. The audience became silent due to the fear of the cobra snake. Then the doctor narrated his story. It was a hot summer night, almost 10 o'clock, he was returning home after having his dinner at the restaurant. As the doctor was opening the door of his room, he heard a noise from above, but he did not react because he was used to such noises.

Answer:
The narrator was sitting on his chair in front of the table. Suddenly there came a dull thud sound. Something had fallen to the ground. No sooner had he turned than a fat snake landed on his shoulder. He didn't jump. He didn't tremble. He didn't cry out. There was no time to do any such thing. The snake coiled around his left arm over the elbow. Its hood was spread out. It was three or four inches away from his face. He sat silently holding out his breath. He was turned to stone but his mind was very active. He remembered God and felt his presence in his heart. The snake turned its head towards the mirror. Perhaps it was admiring his beauty. It slowly unwound itself and moved towards the mirror. The narrator was a man of flesh and blood again. He got up from the chair and ran for his safety. He ran and ran till he reached a friend's house. He heaved a sigh of relief reaching there safely.
