"When I took a glance out of the window, I found a bird. It was entertaining me by singing louder. But, I won't be able to follow it. Because, now I am being caged," Adiraj narrated the present situation in his story.
Education minister C Raveendranath phoned Adiraj and appreciated him after reading the story. Adiraj is on cloud nine after minister encouraged him to continue writing.
"Teacher asked me to write something about nature. But I never thought that the story will get such amounts of appreciation. Now, many people are contacting and congratulating me," said Adiraj.
As 'Koodu' won appreciations, he has decided to pay more attention to writing. Apart from writing he is also interested in painting and athletics.
Though Adiraj's mother tongue is Tamil, he says Malayalam is his favourite.
"My sister and I know Malayalam very well. We speak in Malayalam and Tamil at home. I love to write in Malayalam," said Adiraj.
His father Muthukumaresan and mother Lokeswari migrated to Kerala from Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu. They have been settled here for many years. Muthukumaresan is working at Ajanta press and his wife is a tailor
