HOUSE ON FIRE
Once taking a night stroll, Michael saw fire coming out of his neighbour's house. He shouted, "Fire! Fire!" but there was nobody to hear his shouts.
Michael called the fire department. Meanwhile, he tried to get into the house. Somehow he succeeded to break into the house and rescued a cat. The fire was spreading into other rooms also when luckily the fire engine arrived. The firemen soon put out the fire.
When the neighbours came back, they were very sad seeing the condition of their house but thanked Michael for saving their cat.
The End..

in the woods expecting a wolf to steal my basket
January 29th, 2010
A young girl named Marley woke up to the smell of smoke. She awkwardly got up and scoped her room. There was no fire in her room, only smoke coming through the crack of her door. Marley slowly stepped towards the door. Still she saw nothing but darkness. She breathed in and smoke clouded through her body. Marley crouched down and crawled to the living room. Marley saw that a lamp had fallen over and saw a wall of flames. Ashes were in the air and the fire was headed straight for Marley. She got up and ran. Marley went into her brother Joshua's room. He woke up startled.
"There's a fire!" Marley yelled and grabbed a baseball bat. She banged it as hard as she could against the window. Glass shattered about the room.
"Come on we have to get out of here!" Joshua said urging his sister through the window. Marley quickly jumped out followed by Joshua. They both ran across the road to their neighbors yard. Together they watched as their home burned. Marley felt tears sting her eyes.
"Why couldn't we have told mommy and daddy?" she whined. Her older borther patted her back.
"They will be happy in their new home," Joshua said soothingly and together, the two that were now orphans walked down the road never to be seen again.
