Once there lived a greedy dog in a town. One day he managed to get a piece of bone from somewhere. He picked it up. Being very hungry, he decided to enjoy the bone all alone in some lonely place far from the town.

On the way he was crossing a bridge over the river. The water of the river was crystal clear. He saw his own reflection in the water and said to himself, "Great! There is another dog in the river. He also has a piece of bone in his mouth." The dog was greedy for that piece too. He started barking and was about to jump into the river. But as soon as he opened his mouth, the piece of bone fell into the river. The foolish, greedy dog felt sad and went away.

He was travelling when he crossed a bridge across a river. The river's water was immaculately clear. In the water, he caught a glimpse of himself and thought to himself, "Great! In the river, there is another dog. A bit of bone is also in his mouth." The dog was also avaricious for that piece. He began to bark and was on the verge of jumping into the river. But the moment he opened his mouth, the bone fragment fell.
