Answer:

Role of nations in climate change as discussed in "before the flood" starring Leonardo DiCaprio

Explanation:

Climate change has always been one of the greatest threats to today’s world. “Men can change climate” a dialogue from “Before the Flood'' makes the viewers ponder upon our choices as people commit deadly sins which infuse in a lot of places. Climate change has very long-lasting effects on tomorrow's world- twisted, decayed, burnt landscapes and a paradise that has been degraded and destroyed. Climate changes have destroyed the habitats of some animals forever, they are declared as extinct, wiped out. The worst affected- indigenous people, how entire species are being wiped out and ecosystems ruined because we are knowingly/unknowingly contributing to a bad cause. The polar ice caps- defrosted, coral reefs- dead, media- at constant war because different opinions are being presented, “disinformation” and stands taken by world leaders to play mind games. The rising pollution levels in world leading countries like India and China are educating its citizens and promoting the use of solar energy, recycled products among many others. There is a brain drain and a fight for energy access and an ongoing battle with climate change. These countries provide natural and depleting resources at cheaper rates than renewable energy resources to curb the effect of climate change. We need to take care of the melting ice caps in order to prevent rise in sea levels, prevent the change of weather patterns and free our world from droughts and wildfires. Our poor lifestyle choices damage the carbon absorbing habitats. We should prevent livestock slaughter in order to prevent damage to our environment, opt to use solar and rechargeable devices and vehicles to prevent carbon emission from most vehicles.

As the movie “Before the flood” comes to an end, Leonardo DiCaprio, the narrator/activist/ambassador and the CLIMATE CHANGE CHAMPION asks the viewers to vote and support leaders around the world (repeating the same phrase in his 2016 academy award speech during his acceptance as best actor) and asks citizens to pay carbon taxes, invest in renewable energy, end fossil fuel subsidies, urge the leaders to stop logging and prevent unnecessary and harmful industrial development.
