Structure and function of compound microscope on biology discussion

Ok, there are many ways to talk about a microscope. There are so many I am just going to name the most important bits in the microscope.
So, there is the eyepiece. The eyepiece lets you see and has a total magnification of X10. This multiplied by the objective power lens are the things that enable you to see the cell or whatever small thing.
There is the objective power lens. There are three objective power lens, each with their magnification power. The usual type is X40, X100, X200. this is what zooms in deeply to see the cells.
There is the stage. A flat surface, with the stage clips secured round the sides. the stage is what holds the specimen, and you can go up and down with the stage, to look closer or hold it away.
There is the stage clips. These hold the slide which has the specimen on it. It fastens the slide securely, so it may not move.
The last but not least is the fine focus. It is a wheel which moves the stage up and down when you twist it
I hope I have answered all your questions. Thanks
