The blood vessels takes away the blood from the heart to the whole body, and take it back to the heart. There are three types of blood vessels artery, vein and capillary. Arteries are thick walled than veins while as the capillaries are one cell thick. The arteries and veins are made up of three layers tunica intima, tunicamedia and tunica adventitia. Tunica media is thicker in the arteries. While capillaries are made up of single layer of endothelium cells.
