The eye is made up of three coats, or layers, enclosing various anatomical structures. The outermost layer, known as the fibrous tunic, is composed of the cornea and sclera. The middle layer, known as the vascular tunic or uvea, consists of the choroid, ciliary body, pigmented epithelium and iris.

STRUCTURE OF HUMAN EYE

Cornea: Light enters the eye through this membrane ,It is the transparent spherical membrane covering the front of eye.

Crystalline lens: The eye lensebis convex lense made up of transparent ,soft and flexible material like jelly made of protien.

Iris: It is a dark muscular diaphragm between the cornea and the lens. It also controls the size of pupil.

Cilliary muscles: They hold the lense in position and help in modifying in the curvature of thr lens.

Retina: It is the light sensitive surface of the eye on which image is formed. It contains light - sensitive cells rods and cones.

Optic nerve: It transmits visual information from the ratina to the brain.

Sclera: It is an opeque,fibrous, protective,outer layer of an eye cointaining collagen and elastic fiber, IT IS ALSO KNOWN AS WHITE OF THE EYE

Aquous humour: Between the cornea and eye lens ,we have a space filled with a transparent liquid called the aquos humour, helps in the refracted ray or light to be focoused on retina.

Vitreous humour: The space between eye lens and retina is filled with another liquid called Viterous Humour...
