The structure of the Indian healthcare system is organised into three parts :-

primary, secondary, and tertiary levels.

At the primary level , there are Sub Centres and Primary Health Centres or PHCs.

At the secondary level there are Community Health Centres or CHCs and smaller Sub-District hospitals.

In tertiary level, the top level of public care is provided by the government which basically consists of Medical Colleges and District/General Hospitals.
