LAN= local area network
WAN=world area network
MAN =metro politon network.

LAN (Local Area Network) spreads only in a small area like home or offices.
WAN (Wide Area Network) spreads through a large region that may comprise the city, state or even country at times.
MAN (Metropolitan Area Metwork) spreads through a large geographical area such as a country or a continent or even the world.
