The slope of the graph gives the value of g.

Plotting velocity along y axis.

Plotting time along x axis.

When we get the graph, the slope value in the descending part of the graph ie, dy/dx gives the acceleration which is near to 9.8m/sec^2.

If you take slope from the ascending part of the graph, the acceleration will come out negative because it's against g you are calculating.
