Politics is important for democracy, students being the future of nation should action against any wrong doing,
Politics is important for democracy, students being the future of nation should constitute the most vibrant section of political discourse. To start of with, it should be understood that Politics is not another word for scheming and duping in power circles. Politics is concerned with who gets what, when and how?
There are three stages in politics:
1. Political education and awareness: This is a very important stage of politics, it is here the seeds of democracy, rights and empowerment are sown. Students should be the receptors as well as disseminators of political awareness. Knowing ones rights, conducting discussions and debates on national and local issues are few ways to get politcally educated. It is like learning about the tools which are available to make a bridge.
2. Political Participation:
Natural second stage after politcal education is Politcal participation. It can come in two ways. Firstly, by keen observation of political happenings of local as well national arena, one can spread awareness amongst others creating political opinions on important issues. Secondly, by running for political posts. Students are fortunate as they get to participate in politics at two stages, once as student politicians in university and then in main course politics if they choose to take up that career. Political participation gives one the power to make real changes in people's lives, create impact on future genetations as well. Even giving votes is political participation. By exercising one's franchise students utilise their power to make political choices, the beginning of decision making in their lives.
3. Political Activism
Many important issues comes up in one's life which affects not our own lives but a large section of society. For example, an illegal construction in one's colony may not be a personal issue but a politically aware citizen would know his rights and the future implications of the illegal construction on peace and security of the colony. Political participation in an earlier stage would help him to mobilize people and build general consensus to take collective action against any wrong doing, thereby eliminating evil doings in civil space. Similar action all across the country would eliminate evils from the society all together. Students are most favourably placed to start from stage one of politics. Also, since students have the youth power behind them they can become a potent weapon in eliminating all evils that plague the society.

A student must learn concepts of politics.
But while teaching some one, there are a few important point about the politics must be described to very clearly, and it must be ensure that the student himself decides the meaning of politics.
In my point of view politics is to empower people about their rights and duties.
