Student X often confused with the term heat and temperature. Explain him the

  1. what is an energy ?
  2. what does energy do to an object or system ?
  3. how can we calculate the change in heatness in a system ?

That's simple , from question 1 - an energy is a ability to do work.

from 2 - the energy simply makes change in position of the system .

from 3 - these changes are hence recorded by a standard unit and these units were belongs to temperature...

This means , heat is a energy which makes change in system by hotness and coldness .

This change can be termed as change in temperature ..:):):)

Heat has the ability to do work.  Temperature can be used only to measure the degree of heat. 8Heat is the measure of how many molecules are in an object multiplied by how much energy each molecule possesses. Temperature is related to how fast the molecules move within the object.
