Indeed studies are important.... especially if you are planing to find job in India ...you see the competition for job here is really very much and it increases every day....
to get better job with high package (your payment) you need better marks
seriously talking that most of the stuff you study is not gonna be useful to you if you are doing job as you won't be able to use it (talking of maths stream and engineering) ...but still we need to study to show our IQ...(most of competitive exams are set such that they can see how much IQ do we have...)
