The T.S. blastula of frog comes under blastula of mammalian cell and features are:--
- At the end of cleavage a mass of cell is formed known as blastula and is an sphere and has cavity known as blastocoel. It is surrounded by an outer layer of blastomeres referred as trophoblast. One end of the blastula shows a cellular mass attached to the trophoblast known as the inner cell mass.
- In the frog's egg , the blastocoel is small and not apparent until about the 32-cell stage which is blastula. The cavity at this stage is large and filled with an albuminous fluid.
- Cleavage has been described as holoblastic. After completion of clevage it develops to most active animal pole and the least active at the vegetal pole.
- The ring at margin is known as germ ring or marginal ring and pigmented cell are present at the equatorial plate.
- More layers of cell are added in next process namely gastrulation.
