angiospermae:-these are plants with seeds inside the fruit and bears flowers.

  1. they are highly envolved plants and they produce seeds that are enclosed within the fruit
  2. these plants have flowers hence they are called flowering plants.
  3. embryo in seed have special structure called cotyledons which act as a seed leaves at the time of germination.
  4. they are divided into monocots and dicots.

for example              

DICOTYLEDON[DICOTS]

  1. THE SEED PRODUCED BU THESE PLANTS HAVE EMBRYOS WITH TWO FLESHY LEAVES,THE COTYLEDONS
  2. their leaves have reticulate venation with a network of veins.
  3. the root system has  a prominent tap roots.
  4. the flower have 5 or multiple 5 of petals.
  5. the vascular bundles are arranged in a ring.

eg: pea, potato,sunflower                

MONOCOTYLEDONS[MONOCOTS]

  1. the seed of these  plants have only one cotyledon.
  2. their leaves have parallel venation.
  3. the root system consist of similiar fibrous roots.
  4. the flowers are trimerous that is have 3 or multiple three petals.
  5. the vascular bundles are scattered and closed.
