Yeah , sub polar regions have low atmospheric pressure.

It has cool air around due to which it get towards hot air.

So , pressure is less.

sub polar region are halfly the polar region we know that there is very cold and no any ocean or sunlight .. if sunlight fall on water it creates a pressure on water which cause the wind to blow but this is not happen there because of very cold
