The most attractive planning of the village of the Indus Valley Civilization was the planning of drainage system. The drainages were built underground around 1.5 meter deep and they were 91 meter long joining the sewers of south-north and east-west.

They were built with the baked bricks. The solid waste was filtered using the wooden screen at the end pint of drains. The sewer water was transferred to the river inlet.

Answer:

A spectacular discovery was made during the 1920's where it was found out that the Harappan Civilization had a great all around architecture in terms of buildings, drains etc.

The drains of the houses were actually connected to the drains that were situated in the main street. These drains were made out of cement, lime and gypsum.
