Answer:

-3x-3y=5--------(1)

y= - 5x-17 ----(2)

substitute the value of y from eq (2) to eq.(1)

-3x-3(- 5x-17)=5

-3x+15x+51=5

12x =5-51

12x = -46

x= -46/12

x = -23/6.

substitute the value of x in eq. (1 )

y = -5x-17

y = -5(-23/6) -17

y = (115/6)-17

y = (115-102)/6

y = 13/6
