if formation of embryo does not involve meiosis and syngamy then embryo will be deploid and this form of reproduction is seen in plants it is called apomixis

apomixis is a asexual reproduction which mimics sexual reproduction

the seed (containing embryo) formed without fertilisation and meiosis is called apomictic seed.
