subtracting \\  \\ 3x - 2y + z \: from \: x + 4y - 5z \\  \\  = x + 4y - 5z  - (3x - 2y + z) \\  \\  = x + 4y - 5z - 3x + 2y - z \\  \\  =  - 2x + 6y - 6z \\  \\  =  - 2(x - 3y + 3z) \\  \\  = x - 3y + 3z
