Additive inverse of 1/3 = -1/3
We have to subtract it from 1/5.
Therefore, 1/5 - (-1/3)
= 1/5 + 1/3
Taking LCM of 5 and 3,
= 3/15 + 5/15 = 8/15.
Now, subtract 1/4 from the above result,
= 8/15 - 1/4
Taking LCM of 15 and 4,
= 32/60 - 15/60 = 17/60
We have to subtract it from 1/5.
Therefore, 1/5 - (-1/3)
= 1/5 + 1/3
Taking LCM of 5 and 3,
= 3/15 + 5/15 = 8/15.
Now, subtract 1/4 from the above result,
= 8/15 - 1/4
Taking LCM of 15 and 4,
= 32/60 - 15/60 = 17/60
