For some people, being honest is not that easy and such people might find themselves lying almost every day. Honesty is the best policy because no matter how good you are at telling lies, the truth will always come out. Honest people are respected and trusted upon because they are known to stand by their truth. Without honesty, the world would be a bad and sad place to live in. That?s why we need to always tell the truth no matter what. People who constantly lie not only lose their friends but their reputation since no one likes associating with dishonest characters. It?s important to always tell the truth because this way we will lead a good and upright life. Some of the dishonest acts are cheating, corruption, smuggling among many others. If all of us can stay away from these acts the world, be a better place where we all live in harmony and trust in each other Honesty is an important virtue that we should all aim to have. It helps to steer us in the right direction in life and helps us avoid criminal activities. An honest person is of good character and lives a satisfied and contented life because his conscious is clear. Such a person doesn?t have to worry about being found out. An honest persons character is dignified and graceful. Being dishonest not only makes you look bad to other people but will affect your self-confidence. You may achieve what you want by lying but your actions will always haunt you. Always seek to live an honest life, stand up or what is right never accept anything less and always keep in mind that you are solely responsible for what you say or do. Be honest and everything will turn out well for you, and you will come to realize that truly, Honesty is the Best Policy.

Once upon a time, there lived a milkman in a village. He became very rich through dishonest means. He used to go to the city to sell milk. He had to cross a river daily to reach the city where his customers lived. He used to mix the water of the same river in the milk every day. Which benefited him a lot. One day he was busy collecting the dues for his son's wedding.

So that all of them can buy lots of nice clothes and luxurious gold jewelry. He buys everything from the city. But while crossing the river the boat collapsed and the river swallowed all its purchased goods. The milk seller was very sad and started crying.

Then he heard a voice which was coming from the river. The river said to him, don't cry! What you have lost is only what you earned by cheating your customers. Whatever you earned by working sincerely, you have it with you. Money earned by fraud can never dry up.

The milkman realized his mistake and took a vow that from now on he would work honestly. will never be dishonest
