To Find :

(A) What is the greatest possible number?

(B) Subtract the face value of the digit at thousands place from its place value?

Solution :

(A) What is the greatest possible number?

Odd numbers from 1 to 9 are => 1,3,5,7,9

A greatest possible odd number is 97531

(B) Subtract the face value of the digit at thousands place from its place value?

Face value of thousands place in 97531 = 7

Place value of thousands place in 97531 = 7000

Now, subtract place value - face value

=> 7000 - 7

=> 6993

Hence, Required answers (A) => 97531 (B) => 6993
