Step-by-step explanation:

given, 5x^2-2y+9

second polynomial =3x2+5y-7

we have to subtract 2nd from 1

so it can be written as

5x^2-2y+9-(3x^2+5y-7)

multiply the minus sign with the whole bracket it will be

5x^2-2y+9-3x^2-5y+7

Taking x^2 one side y and constant one side it will be

(5x^2-3x^2)(-2y-5y)(+9+7)

=2x^2-7y+16

so ans is 3
