The trick is ,if it is written subtraction we assume that the two numbers MUST be subtracted and reduced.
But NO!
If the number is already negative in quantity (magnitude) ,then the sign negative and negative becomes Positive.
Keep the steps in Place and you will never WRONG it.
Steps:
Sum of (-75) and 31:
-75 + 31= -44
subtracting 12 from (-44)
12- (-44)
= 12+ 44= 56
That's your answer!
