Sudesh is twice as old as Seema.If six years is subtracted from Seema's age and foyr years are added to Sudesh's age,Sudesh will be four times Seema's age.How old were they 3 years ago

4y-24 = 4 + 2y 

2y = 28 

y = 14, x = 28 

They were 11 and 25 three years ago.

Therefore age of sudesh will be 2x years 6 yrs are subtracted from seema age Therefore seema age = x-6 yrs 4 yrs are added to sudesh age Therefore sudesh age will be = 2x + 4 yrs. Then.. We get 2x+4=(x-6) × 4 2x+4=4x-24 We get X=14 Therefore seema age = 14 yrs Before 3 yrs , her age = 11 yrs Therefore sudesh age = 28 yrs Before 3 yrs = 25 yrs
