Given :

30% of the distance traveled by car.

40% of the remaining traveled by bus.

50% of the remaining traveled by train.

Distance remained = 210 km

To find : the total distance between town A and B = ?

Solution:

Let the total distance be 'x'.

According to question, we get :

\dfrac{70}{100}\times \dfrac{60}{100}\times \dfrac{50}{100}x=210\\\\x=\dfrac{210\times 1000000}{70\times 60\times 50}\\\\x=1000\ km

Hence, the total distance is 1000 km.
