Sudhir is now 3 times as old as his little brother Ram but in 3 more years he still on twice as old as Ram will be then. how old they are now?

let the present age of ram be x
then, present age of sudhir =3x

after 3 years,
age of ram= x+3
age of sudhir=3x+3
so,
2(x+3)= 3x+ 3
2x +6 = 3x + 3
3x- 2x = 6-3
therefore,
x= 3
hence,
present age of ram = 3 years
present age of sudhir= 9 years
