sugar and salt when kept in different jars take the shape of the jar.are they solid? justify your answer.

yes ,sugar and salt are solids
they take the shape of the container in which they are kept just because they are tiny crystals and salt and sugar are crystalline in nature...

Yes,sugar and salt are soild substances but they take the shape of the jar where we store them.

Because,while storing in a jar ,we are storing a large number of sugar or salt crystals.

These crystals are itself solid substances but large number of solid crystals acts like a fluid flow because the whole substance don't has an unibody.

But,still the state of the sugar or salt is considered as the solid by judging the physical state of one single crystal.
