1. Large scale plantation of trees or Afforestation and proper management of grazing.

2. Planting shelter belts of trees in opposite direction to wind in the windy,arid  areas like Desert Rajasthan.

3. Proper management of wasteland Control of mining activities.

4.  Biodegradable waste should be recycled.

5. Non degradable wastes like plastic should not be dumped,underground on landfills.

6. Reducing the flow of water in stream.

7. Land degradation can be checked by plugging gullies.
