One third of our freshwater comes from the Himalayas – home to millions of people and hundreds of unique species, many of which are found nowhere else on the planet! These and about 400 million people rely on rivers originating in the Himalayas for their daily water supply.

So if we protect the Himalayas, we’re protecting our primary source of water – and the home of magnificent species like the snow leopard, the red panda, the black necked crane and many others!

When you shop at Woodland, you can add as little as Rs. 10/- to your bill towards our conservation work in the Himalayas. This will be directed towards our projects in the landscape:

Studying vulnerable and endangered species

Working with local communities to help them live in harmony with wildlife

Promoting green infrastructure development

Creating an effective poaching control network

THESE GUIDELINES ARE ISSUED BY WWF..
