There are three major types of intermolecular forces viz. :

London dispersion forces, dipole-dipole interaction, and ion-dipole interaction force

(i) n-hexane and n-octane and

(ii) -> I₂ and CCl  Answer is Van der Wall's forces of attraction.

(iii) ->NaClO₄ and water Ion-  Answer is dipole interaction.

(iv) methanol and acetone and

(v) -> acetonitrile (CH₃CN] and acetone (C₃H₆O).

The answer is Dipole-dipole interaction.

Hey !!

(1) Dispersion or London forces as both are non-polar

(2) Dispersion or London forces as both are non-polar

(3) Ion-dipole interactions as sodium chlorate gives Na⁺ and ClO₄⁻ ions and water is a polar molecule.

(4) Dipole-dipole interactions as both are polar molecules.

(5) Dipole-dipole interactions as both are polar molecule.

Hope it helps you !!
