According to the question or ATQ : -

➙ a = 60% × (a + 20)

➙ a = $\sf \dfrac{60}{100}$ × (a + 20)

➙ a = 0.6 × (a + 20)

➙ a = 0.6a + 20

➙ a - 0.6a = 20

➙ 0.4a = 20

➙ a = $\sf \dfrac{20}{0.4}$

➙ $\small\bold\green{a =\: 50}$

Hence, number of toffees she give away :

➨ Number of toffees = 50 - 20

➨ ${\small{\bold{\purple{\underline{Number\: of\: toffees =\: 30}}}}}$

Henceforth, the number of toffees she give away is 30 toffees.
