SO3 is obtained during the reaction Fe (SO4)3 Δ   ----> Fe2O3 + 3SO3

option (b) is correct.

Explanation:

(1) CaSO4 + C (Δ) ----> SO2 + H2O

(2) Fe (SO4)3 Δ   ----> Fe2O3 + 3SO3

(3) 2CaSO4 + C (Δ) ----> 2CaO + 2SO2 + CO2

(4) H2SO4 + PCl5 ----> POCl3 + HSO3Cl + HCl

Sulfur trioxide is obtained when iron trisulfate is heated in the presenec of air and pressure the products are iron oxide and sulfur trioxide.

Thus SO3 is obtained during the reaction Fe (SO4)3 Δ   ----> Fe2O3 + 3SO3
