vertically opposite angles are equal to each other.
let the angles be x and X
so
x+x=156
2x=156
x=156÷2
x= 78
so the vertically opposite angles are 78° each

The measure of each angle is 78°

GIVEN

Sum of 2 vertically opposite angles is 156.

TO FIND

The measure of angle.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

We know that vertically opposite angles are formed at point of intersection of two line segments.

We know that vertically opposite angles are equal in measurement.

Let,

The measure of 1 angle = x°

Measure of second angle = y°

It id given,

x + y = 156°

Since,

x = y

Therefore,

x + x = 156

2x = 156

x = 156/2 = 78°

Hence, The measure of each angle is 78°
