Required solution = 8% on 4000 = Rs.320

= 10% on 4000 = Rs.400

Now, Rs (352 – 320) = Rs.32 ----- 1

Rs (400 – 352) = Rs.48 ------ 2

Take the ration of the above two equations

This will be = Rs.48 : Rs.32

= 3 : 2

Sum lent at 8% = (3 / 5) * 4000 = Rs.2400
