According to question,

Also given that, Ganesh is 5 years elder than Ramesh.

Substitute value of x = 33 - y in above equation

$\implies\:\sf{33-y\:=\:5+y}$

$\implies\:\sf{33-5\:=\:2y}$

$\implies\:\sf{28\:=\:2y}$

$\implies\:\sf{14\:=\:y}$

$\implies\:\sf{y\:=\:14}$

Substitute value of y = 14 in x
