Answer:

71

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

Unit Digit= X

Tenth Digit= (8-X)

therefore, the original number is= 10(8-X) + X

when the digits are interchanged,

the new number will be= (10 × X) + (8-X)

so, {10 (8-X) + X } - { (10X) + (8-X)} = 54

=> (80 - 9X) - (9X + 8) = 54

=> X = 1

So, the original number is = 71

Hope it helps you..
