Step-by-step explanation:

let take tens digit =x

ones digit =y

given that x+y=6

y=6-x

then the original number=10x+y

number get on interchange the digits=10y+x

according to question,

10x+y-18=10y+x

put y =6-x which we have found earlier,

then,

10x+6-x-18=10(6-x)+x

=9x-12=60-10x+x

=9x+9x=60+12

18x=72

x=4

as y =6-x then y =6-4=2

so the original number=42

number on interchanging the digits =24

hope it helps
