let length of rect. A =3x
length of rect.B=2x
perimeter of both rectangles=216cm
2 (l+b)+2(l+b)=216
2 (3x+b)+2 (2x+b)=216
(3x+b)×(2x+b)=216/4=54
3x (2x+b)+b (2x+b)=54
6x^2+3xb+2xb+b^2=54
x^2+5xb+b^2=54/6
x^2+xb+b^2=9/5
x^2+2×xb+b^2÷2=1.8
(x+b)^2=1.8×2=3.6
(x+b)^2=3.6
