Let the present age of son = x

& the present age of father = y

x + y = 45 ------(1)

After 10 years ,

(y + 10) = 2(x+10) + 5

y + 10 = 2x + 25

2x - y = -15 ------(2)

from equation (1) + (2)

3x = 30

x = 10

So , y = 35

Hence , The present age of son = 10 years

& the present age of father = 35 years
