The integers are 20, 22 and 24. You can see that
20+22+24=66
How did we get that? There's a bunch of ways. The simplest is to just inspect. We need 3 integers that are all close together to equal 66. Well,
66/3=22
So the integers:
22,22,22
add up to 66. But we want them to be consecutive and even. Why don't we just take two from the first 22, and give it to the last one? Then the sum will be the same:
22−0,22,22+2
And there we go!
20,22,24
We can also set up an equation to do the job. Let x be the first of those three integers. Then we know that
x+2and x+4
are the next two consecutive integers.
Then, we want the sum of those to be 66:
x+(x+2)+(x+4)=66/3x+6=66/3x=60
x=20
So our first integer is 20, and the next two are 22 and 24.
Hope it's help
