sum of two numbers is 18 and
difference of their square root is 1, then prove that (x+2) +(y+2) is 22

Let the 2 no. s=x and y

Acc. To question,

X+y=18

X=18-y

Now,it is given that the difference of their square root is one,

So, let bigger no. =x

X2-y2=1

Put value of x

(18-y)2-y2=1

324+y2-36y-y2=1

323=36y

323/36=y

9 =y (approx)

X=18-y

X=9

So,now x +2)+y+2)=22

Putting values 11+11=22
