Let numbers are a and b According to Q's: a+b=35...eq 1 a-b= 13.....eq2 Add both eq 1&2 2a= 48,a= 24 Then put value of a in any of eq We will get b= 35-a=35-24= 11

x+y=35 x_y=13

since x+y=35
so x=35_y

putting value of x in 2nd eqn.
x_y=13
