Answer:

Hey mate!! here's your answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assume the two numbers as x and y.

So

x+y = 52. eq1

x-y = 38. eq2

Substracting both equations

x+y -( x - y ) = 52-38

2y = 14

y = 7

x -y = 38

x-7 =38

x = 38+7

x = 45

y = 7

hope it may help you

Let the first number and second number be x and y respectively.

so, x+y = 52 ....equation (1)

x-y = 38 ......equation (2)

Adding Equation (1) & (2),We Get

x+y+x-y =52+38

=>2x=90

=>x=45

Substituting x=45 in equation (1),We get

x+y=52

=>45+y=52

=>y=52-45

=>y=7

*Proof*

When x=45,Y=7

Then, x-y=38

=>45-7=38

=>38=38 ~Hence L.H.S=R.H.S
