according to question.:
x+y=95
x-y=15

on solving by elimination method
x=55
y=40

x + y = 95          ---------------(i)

x - y = 15           ---------------(ii)


Add (i) & (ii)

2x = 110

  x = 55


Put x = 55 in (ii) 

55 - y = 15

55 - 15 = y

  y  = 40



Ans: The numbers are 40 and 15.
