Malgudiis an imaginative town in Southern India. All thecharacters of this book,live in this imaginative town. All the characters of this book, are are common people. They go about their daily business and lead simple lives. Narayan is one of those few authors , who can convey extremely rich emotions, through hisstories. This makes the stories highly engaging.On reading these stories, I have observed that Narayan gives more importance to the character rather than the plot. The plot, in most cases, is ...very simple; he gives good descriptions of his characters, and through those characters you are exposed to the aura ofMalgudi. I personally feel that his stories arecharacter based, rather than being plot based
