this story is about a farmer who lives in a small village with his wife and his infant. the farmer bought a mongosse as a companion for his baby infant . The wife was apprehensive about his decision . Later the wife had to purchase some essential for the house . Unwillingly she left her infant as he was sleeping in his cradle and requested her spouse to keep an eye on him .To her utter shock she saw mongosse lying lifelessly with blood covered on him.She suspected that the mongoose was attacking her beloved child.
Out of range she threw a basket at the mongosse at brute force killing him instantly. As the mother hurriedly rushed inside she saw her baby sleeping safe and sound . Instead she saw a dead snake sleeping near the cradle. the women thought of her lamented action .
